Results from the Medicine Hat Curling Club
Open Bean Spiel 2009
16 teams participated in the weekend event at the MH Curling Club. After a great weekend of curling the finals were set on Sunday at 1:00 pm.
The "A" Event winning team was the Ted Ganden squad defeating the Terry Aho team 8-4. Ted along with teammates Vance Elder, Vern Herter and Murray Rogers were the only undefeated team on the weekend. On at least two occasions they had tied their games after 8 ends of play and had a draw to the button contest to claim the wins.
In the "B" Event it was the Vicki Sjolie team coming out on top 7-2 over the Harold Fieldberg foursome. Helping with the victory were Greg Sjolie, Arlene Keck and Mike Keck.
The "C" Event first place was claimed by the Harvey Moch team. Joining Harvey were Art Scott, Ali Sellin-Moat, and Vicky Landsiedel. The Moch team defeated the Suzette Parahoniak team 8-6 in the final.
